History

The club was originally found in an old Nissan hut off the land adjacent to Old Farm Way, back in 196? The club operated from there for a number of years, with lost of tales being told by some of the original members, about rain dripping in through the room, etc.

The club was offered the opportunity to build a new club house on another piece of land. This saw the size of the club massively increase and a large function room with purpose built dance floor, also a Lounge bar and kitchen were included. The club was called the Tavern club and opened in 1975 along with a very large car park. This is the current site of the Magnolia Mews houses.

In 2010, the committee started negotiations with a developer to have a new Club house built and sell the old club and car park for development. After many months of negotiations with the developer and planning department, a scheme was agreed and approved.

Building started in August 2011 and the new Club was complete at the end of March 2012.
